Yahoo!360 is a site that combines blogging with social networking in a very simple to use and non-threatening format, very much like what MySpace does.
If you have been under the impression that blogging requires technical skills, or if you felt intimidated by some of the fancy HTML and CSS found on other social networking sites, Yahoo!360 will be a much easier way for you to get started.
When you create a Yahoo!360 account, you can set up a page that tells the world about yourself. While this is no substitute for an actual business website, it does allow for networking and internet marketing opportunities.
Creating your page is very easy. There are quite a few pre-made themes to choose from, and you also have the option of creating your own custom theme.
If you are familiar with Yahoo Messenger and already have an avatar, you can use that as your 360 picture or you can upload a regular photo of yourself (for branding and credibility purposes).
Once you have created the layout of your page, you can start adding content.
The site allows you to create a blog, create lists of items you recommend, add affiliate reviews, and more.
You can easily market your affiliate business here. For instance, you can create a list of products you have reviewed (don’t forget to include your affiliate links); display the links to your website(s); and if you have a business related blog, you can add the RSS feed to your Yahoo!360 page.

There are several ways to find people. You can search by location as well as interests.
The location feature is great if you would like to promote yourself locally.
Searching by interest will allow you to find people in your target market who may be interested in your business.
Using these types of sites can help you spread the word about your affiliate business. However, you still need to continue with other forms of marketing. .
Traffic generation and affiliate marketing should be an integated strategy comprising many different techniques.
It doesn't make sense to "put all your eggs into one basket", ie. using ONLY one technique like AdWords.

Among other methods, you can apply these keywords and keyword phrases in your article promotion, pay-per-click campaigns and classified ad sites like http://www.CraigsList.org, http://www.USFreeAds.com and http://www.Sell.com
The key is to ride on high-ranking and frequently spidered sites in Google and other search engines to get free search engine traffic.
This effectively means you don't have to bother about search engine optimization on your own...just tap on the traffic and rankings of highly-ranked websites.
Lets take the example of articles...
To do this, you need to write 300-700 word articles based around at least one highly-targeted keyword phrase in each article.
The longer and more precise your keyword phrase is - the more targeted your visitor will be, plus it's actually easier to get ranked for detailed keyword phrases.
The keyword phrase should be repeated at least 1%-2.5% in your article - once in the title, introduction and the rest in the body of your article.
If you do not know what an article is, go to article directories like http://www.goarticles.com to have a look at other people's articles.
You can also find all sorts of articles using keyword search with the free content tool at http://www.contentrover.com
After you've written your keyword-rich articles, submit them to just a few high-ranking article directories.
You can find these by going to http://www.Google.com and typing in "article directories".
If you do this right, your articles will appear at the top of the search engines when someone does a search for that particular keyword phrase your article is written around (takes about a few days to 2 weeks).
What happens is the visitor will see your article, visit it and click on your URL in your resource box if they like your article.
The url SHOULD be your OPT-IN PAGE, NOT your plain affiliate link.
You capture leads FIRST then redirect to your affiliate link.
You then follow up with the leads to convert more of them into affiliate commissions.
This helps you to build a list while increasing your affiliate commissions when you follow up with your leads. This is leverage at work. You can see an example at http://www.LoseFats.com
Please refer to the master training blueprint and "1 Week Affiliate Profit Plan" in your member's area if you don't know what I'm talking about or what an opt-in page is.
You can do the above with classified ad sites like USFreeAds too.
Classified ads are in general useless...but if you're getting eyeballs instead from the search engines to your ad then there's a difference - it's called targeted traffic. Just don't depend on people popping up from nowhere to read your classified ads.
The approach is all about TAPPING on other highly-ranked sites to get targeted traffic to your own site.
Simple and it works.
But this is only ONE method of promoting your affiliate programs, there are TONS more.
As always, I encourage an integrated approach and not putting your eggs into one basket.

Yes it's nothing new, in fact I've registered unique domain names to promote MANY different affiliate programs, for example:

http://www.FreeSearchEngineTraffic.com
Note: Notice the domain names are all catchy and descriptive, which help to increase your clickthrough rate for your pay-per-click ads by the way.
However today I want to let you in on another "twist" to using affiliate domain names I've been secretly using to profit from affiliate programs the lazy way...
And that is by using EXACT-KEYWORD-PHASE domain names.
I'm refering to registering exact keyword phases as domain names and redirecting them to your affiliate link (or name squeeze page if you're harder working).
This works like crazy because you will get free type-in traffic automatically. People will type in keyword phases into their browsers to look for a site!
For this to work, it needs to be a .com as this is the first and only domain extension people will type in for such traffic.
Here's just one of my affiliate domain names utilizing this secret tactic:
